Mark Everitt

Mark Everitt, CFA, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock Alternative Advisors (BAA), the firm's Hedge Fund Solutions Team. Mr. Everitt is member of the BAA Investment Committee and the BAA Management Committee. He has direct portfolio responsibilities as a member of the portfolio management team for the BAA co-investment and retail focused funds. He serves as the Director of BAA Risk Management, a group embedded in the investment team that evaluates hedge fund portfolios as part of the BAA investment process.

 

Mr. Everitt's service with the firm dates back to 2003, including his years with Quellos Group, LLC, of which the alternative investment management business was acquired by BlackRock in 2007. From 2000 to 2003, he was a managing director for market and liquidity risk with BNP Paribas, leading a team responsible for risk management in fixed income, equity and commodity products across the Americas. Mr. Everitt joined BNP Paribas London in 1995, where he was the global head of the Counterparty Risk and Portfolio Analysis Team. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he held roles in management consulting with Price Waterhouse (1993 to 1995) and in capital markets with NatWest Markets (1988 to 2003).

 

From 2008 until 2015, Mr. Everitt was an affiliate instructor for the University of Washington teaching Computational Finance and Risk Management. Mr. Everitt earned a BSc degree, with joint honors, in geography and topographic science from the University of Wales in 1988. He has passed all the qualifying examinations for an Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in the UK.
