Seema Ackerman

Seema J. Ackerman, Managing Director, is a member of the Family Office, Foundations and Endowments team within Americas Institutional Business. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mrs. Ackerman was a Managing Director at Oxford Financial Group, a privately held Multi-Family office that oversees $27 Billion in Assets. Previous to that, Mrs. Ackerman spent over a decade as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs Asset Management assisting clients in their asset allocation and investments across the risk spectrum. Mrs. Ackerman began her career in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank Securities covering the industrials sector and working with Institutional Investment Consultants at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Seema graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois with a degree in Finance and a minor in Technology and Management and earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Seema lives in Chicago with her husband Paul, her high school sweetheart, and their two daughters Asha and Mira.
