Effective February 25, 2025, the Fund changed its name, investment process and investment strategies. Performance for the periods prior to February 25, 2025, is based on the investment process and investment strategies utilized by the Fund under the name "BlackRock EuroFund.” The Fund’s returns prior to October 23, 2018, are the returns of the Fund when it followed different investment strategies. Effective February 25, 2025, in connection with the change, investment strategies and investment process of the Fund, the MSCI EAFE Index replaced the MSCI EMU Index as the performance benchmark against which the Fund measures its performance.

Giles Rothbarth, CFA, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, is Co-Head of the European Equity team within the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group. He is sole portfolio manager for the Continental European flexible strategies, as well as co-portfolio manager for the long-term select equity funds. Mr. Rothbarth joined BlackRock on the graduate program in 2010, after graduating with an MA (Hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from The University of Oxford.

Stefan Gries, CFA, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, is Co-Head of the European Equity team within the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group.  He is co-portfolio manager of Absolute Return and long-term select equity portfolios. Prior to joining Blackrock in 2008, Mr. Gries spent 2 years at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where he was a research analyst and portfolio assistant within the European Equity team.  Since joining BlackRock, he has worked both as a portfolio manager and as an analyst covering, at various times, energy, pharmaceuticals, insurance, consumer and business services. Mr. Gries earned an MA in Economics & Spanish from the University of St. Andrews in 2005. He is also a CFA charter holder.
