Director and Senior After-Tax Wealth Strategist

Lincoln Fleming serves as a Director and Senior After-tax Wealth Strategist within SMA Solutions at Blackrock, where he helps taxable clients focus on the intersection of income taxes, investing, estate planning and charitable giving and to align investment decisions with their tax profile. His work centers on optimizing for after-tax outcomes and integrating thoughtful tax strategy into portfolio construction.

 

Mr. Fleming leads efforts to research, design, and deliver innovative tax strategies and solutions that help investors enhance after-tax wealth outcomes. He has written extensively and regularly speaks on topics such as tax policy, charitable giving, income tax planning, and wealth transfer planning. He has contributed numerous articles to industry publications and has also helped to create and deliver in-depth after-tax wealth strategies courses to tax and investment professionals nationwide.

 

Mr. Fleming began his career in the private client tax group of PwC and the wealth strategy group at Goldman Sachs. He is a CPA/PFS and CFP and has 15+ years of experience in tax and wealth management.

 

Mr. Fleming currently serves as an AICPA Personal Financial Planning Executive Committee member and has previously lectured in the Master of Financial Engineering Program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 Influencer by CPA Practice Advisor and also received the AICPA’s 2023 PFP Standing Ovation Award.

 

Mr. Fleming holds BS in Accounting and Master of Accounting in Taxation degrees from Brigham Young University.
