Kent Hogshire, CFA, Managing Director and portfolio manager, is a member of the Global Allocation team within BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies Group.

 

Mr. Hogshire’s service with the firm dates back to 2000, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. He was named portfolio manager of the Global Allocation Fund in 2017. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hogshire was a senior investor and investment group leader on the Fund. His fundamental security research coverage responsibilities have spanned multiple sectors as diverse as industrials and consumer discretionary, as well as multiple asset classes including equities as well as high yield and convertible bonds. More recently, his responsibilities have shifted toward macro research, regional and thematic investment strategies, and portfolio construction enhancements. Mr. Hogshire began his investment career in 2000 at MLIM, initially as a research associate on the Merrill Lynch Global Allocation Fund.

 

Mr. Hogshire earned a BA degree in international affairs from Princeton University in 2000. He is a CFA Charterholder.
