Katie Cullen, CFP®, is Head of BlackRock Business Consulting (BBC). She and her team guide executives and growth minded advisors on developing growth strategy, business efficiency, and executive leadership to better attract and serve High Net Worth clients.
Katie delivers industry-leading resources, actionable insights and develops collaborative partnerships through customized consulting, executive coaching and thought leadership programs. Katie and her team also facilitate curated executive forums, and leadership development courses, including the award-winning Emerging Leader Lab that equips financial services executives with insights and tools to lead their companies with impact. Katie’s work most often focuses on helping leaders develop, communicate, and execute a firm’s strategic vision, and then translate those ideas into disciplined action.
Prior to BlackRock, she led multiple think tanks of global industry leaders, served as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at a large RIA and held senior roles at Schwab Advisor Services. She contributes to the advancement of the profession through her work with the CFP Board’s Advisory Council and supports veterans’ transitions to civilian careers through American Corporate Partners and other organizations. Drawing on her 11 years as a U.S. Army Reserves Logistics Officer, becoming an Army paratrooper and her lifelong commitment to service, Katie brings a unique perspective on leadership, resilience and teamwork.
She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three children and enjoys endurance racing in her spare time.
