Ernesto Bettoni
Product Strategist, BlackRock’s Emerging Markets Debt Team
Ernesto Bettoni, Managing Director, is head of product strategy for the Emerging Markets Debt team within BlackRock's Global Fixed Income Group. He has responsibility for fundamental global fixed income strategies across all emerging markets.
Mr. Bettoni joined BlackRock in 2012 and has 27 years of experience in emerging markets debt. Prior to joining BlackRock, he worked as the lead emerging markets fixed income investment specialist at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Fortis Investments and ABN AMRO Asset Management, where he contributed to build and oversee a growing book of business globally. He was previously Emerging Market Head Trader for the investments division of Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, where he was responsible for overseeing international fixed income portfolios. He also worked as a Fixed Income Associate for New York based Provident Group, where he was responsible for covering Central American institutions. Ernesto began his career as a Fixed Income Analyst for Banex-Banco del Istmo (later on HSBC).
Mr. Bettoni earned a Masters in investment management, with distinction, from Cass Business School in London.
