Managing Director, Head of Institutional Distribution for US and Canada Defined Contribution

Matthew Soifer, CFA, Managing Director, is head of Institutional Distribution within BlackRock's US & Canada Defined Contribution (USDC) Group. His team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional defined contribution clients, serving as a thought leader on industry trends, and being a consultative partner to clients.

 

Mr. Soifer's service with the firm dates back to 2006, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was a business development officer in the Americas Institutional Business Group, responsible for developing strategic portfolio solutions for institutional investors. Prior to joining BGI, he was a portfolio manager at United Parcel Service responsible for managing the public market investments of the pension fund.

 

Mr. Soifer earned a BBA degree with honors in finance and management from the University of Michigan in 1998, and an MBA degree in finance and strategy from Northwestern University in 2004.
