Federico Moncaleano

Federico Moncaleano, CFA, CAIA, Managing Director, is the Head of Distribution & Strategy for Latin America, responsible for BlackRock's business and strategy across the US and Latin America Offshore Wealth segment. Mr. Moncaleano is a member of the Latin America Operating and Strategy Committees.

Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Moncaleano was the Deputy COO for BlackRock's Latin America business, where he was responsible for overseeing and driving the firm's business and strategy across the region. Previously, Mr. Moncaleano led the BlackRock Alternatives Specialist (BAS) team in Latin America where he was responsible for developing BlackRock's alternatives business in Latin America, working closely with the local relationship managers, and the broader BAS and BAI organizations. Mr. Moncaleano joined BlackRock as part of the Latin America Institutional Client Business, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Official Institutions across Latin America.

Mr. Moncaleano earned a BS degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and management and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
