Farzan Qureshi

Director, DC Investment Strategy

Farzan Qureshi, Director, is a member of the US and Canada Institutional team within BlackRock's Institutional Client Business. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, including public and private pension plans, foundations, endowments and Defined Contribution platforms.

 

Mr. Qureshi's service with the firm dates back to 2000, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was a client relationship officer, responsible for business development and client servicing for institutional clients at Barclays Global Investors Canada Limited (BGI Canada). Earlier, he held a position within the Trading Operations group. Mr. Qureshi began his career in financial services at the Royal Bank of Canada holding positions in marketing and strategy.

 

Mr. Qureshi earned a BA degree, with honours, in economics and finance from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1999 and an MBA degree from Queen's University.
