David Dali, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, is a member of the Emerging Market Allocation team within BlackRock's Multi Asset Strategies ("MAS") group.
Mr. Dali began his career in emerging markets in 1989 and prior to joining BlackRock in March 2014, was the CIO and lead portfolio manager for the Duet Emerging Macro Fund, and multi-asset class global emerging markets strategy. Prior to joining Duet, Mr. Dali was the head of the Emerging Macro team within the Macquarie Funds Group where he was the lead portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Tactical Allocation Fund, a long-only global emerging markets equity strategy. Prior to joining Macquarie, he co-founded OneWorld Investments, LP in April of 1999. Mr. Dali was the co-CIO for OneWorld's investment strategies including a macro emerging market hedge fund, a long-only emerging market debt CDO, and a long-only emerging market equity strategy. He also spent 11 years on the sell-side, the latest position being the Global Head of EM trading at BancBoston Robertson Stephens. Early in his emerging markets career, Mr. Dali spent 8 years trading emerging market debt at Bank of America and Chase Manhattan Bank while based in New York, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.
Mr. Dali earned his bachelor of science in commerce at Santa Clara University in 1986.
