Overview

Why 488A?

1. Exposure to Japanese Government Bonds (with a remaining maturity less than a year) combined with forward contracts to sell U.S. Dollar and buy Japanese Yen and use to target returns during the yen-strengthening periods.

2. Designed to serve as a tactical hedging instrument against U.S. Dollar movements when combined with non-yen exposure assets.

3. Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as a fund denominated in JPY and tradable during market hours similar to a listed stock.

Investment Objective

The iShares Yen Appreciation Focus ETF seeks to track the performance of the FTSE Japanese Government 0-1Y JPY/USD FX Enhanced Index.
The FTSE Japanese Government 0-1Y JPY/USD FX Enhanced Index, calculated by FTSE Russell, consists of Japanese Government Bonds with remaining  maturities of less than one year and incorporates forward contracts to sell U.S. Dollars and buy Japanese Yen.
