Benjamin Souza

Benjamin Souza, Director, is the Latin America Fixed Income Strategist with BlackRock's Fixed Income Portfolio Management Group. He is responsible for developing fixed income iShares strategies in the region, partnering with the Latam and Iberia team on product delivery and supporting iShares client sales.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2011, Mr. Souza was the Portfolio Manager for Invercap, a Pension Fund in Mexico for 3 years, where he managed a $5bn portfolio of international fixed income and private and public equities. Prior to that, he held various fixed income-related positions at Morgan Stanley, focusing on Latin America, including an emerging markets proprietary trader, an emerging markets stratregist and an investment banker.

Mr. Souza earned a BS degree in Economics from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico in 1997.
