Index Objective

The BlackRock Universal Systematic Bond Index (the “Index”) uses a dynamic, rules-based approach to allocate across U.S. dollar-denominated Treasuries, Mortgage-Backed Securities, and Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate bonds. It strategically overweights High Yield Corporates, adjusts allocations based on economic conditions, prioritizes credit quality and value within corporates and assesses the prevailing interest rate environment to set Index duration. Interest rate sensitivity and sector allocations are determined relative to a broad, market-value weighted Starting Universe.
