Jon P. Denfeld

Director, Head of the US ABS

Jon P. Denfeld, CFA, Director, is a portfolio manager and Head of the US ABS team within Fundamental Fixed Income.

Previously, Mr. Denfeld was Head of the Securitized CorePM Team. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Denfeld was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Alliance Bernstein (AB) on the US Multi-sector and Securitized Team focusing on securitized, core and short duration strategies. Mr. Denfeld directed a team of assistant portfolio managers, researchers and traders and managed portfolio strategy, risk budgeting, investment analysis, portfolio construction and sector exposures. Prior to his 8 years at AB, Mr. Denfeld was Head of Securitized Strategy at UBS Global Asset Management.

Mr. Denfeld earned a BA degree in Economics from Fairfield University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
