Bringing together policymakers and global investors to explore South Africa’s infrastructure opportunity

South Africa is at an inflection point, with structural reform and large‑scale infrastructure investment creating a credible path to sustained growth. Improving macroeconomic stability, stronger public finances and renewed investor confidence are unlocking opportunities across energy, water, transport and digital infrastructure.

BlackRock and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part for BlackRock convened policymakers, global investors and industry leaders to explore how infrastructure can drive jobs, productivity and long-term economic resilience, while improving service delivery and advancing equality.

Discussions highlighted the scale of opportunity, from energy market reform and logistics revitalisation to South Africa’s emergence as a regional digital hub, and the critical role of mobilising private capital alongside public investment to deliver at scale.
