Rita Gemelou

Rita Gemelou, Director, is a member of BlackRock's Beta Strategies Group. Ms. Gemelou's responsibilities include investment strategy, solutions structuring and management involving equities and multi-asset index portfolios in EMEA.

 

Previously she was the lead strategist for BlackRock's Multi-Asset risk factor portfolios in EMEA. Ms. Gemelou service with the firm started in 2010. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Gemelou was head of fund advisory at Credit Suisse UK private bank, responsible for promoting mutual funds, across asset classes, to Relationship Managers and clients. While at Credit Suisse, Ms. Gemelou developed the fund advisory platform from its inception. Before starting her postgraduate studies, she was a portfolio manager for money market funds in ING Piraeus Asset Management, for approximately 4 years.

 

Ms. Gemelou earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from London Business School in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Hons) from the American College of Greece in 2001.
