Global Head of Financing and Co-invest for BlackRock Alternatives

Tim Vincent, Managing Director, is Global Head of Financing and Co-invest for BlackRock Alternatives and is a member of the BlackRock Capital Markets group. BlackRock Capital Markets (BCM) operates across the entirety of the firm’s investment platform to provide our investors the ability to access primary issuance markets, source across the capital structure and unlock greater alpha opportunities for the benefit of our clients. Covering the full spectrum of public and private markets, BCM offers a centralized function for sourcing and syndication, financing, co-investment and corporate solutions activities. As Global Head of Financing and Co-invest, Tim is responsible for managing the execution of all financing, co-invest and hedging transactions necessary for new private investments, fund leverage facilities, and existing fund portfolio companies across Infrastructure, Real Estate, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Credit .Tim also leads the management of the global banking and lending relationships for the group.

 

Prior to his current role, Tim had similar responsibilities for BlackRock's Diversified Infrastructure investment team, which manages about $9.0 billion of equity capital in the infrastructure, power, midstream, utility and other areas across four 15-year funds. The team has created over 30 portfolio companies for the funds and is actively investing globally. BlackRock acquired the Diversified Infrastructure team in 2017 from First Reserve, a private equity firm that has been investing in exclusively in the energy sector since 1983. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2017, Tim was a Managing Director with First Reserve where he played a similar role for the Energy & Power Infrastructure platform. Prior to joining First Reserve, Tim was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, and a Managing Director at BNP Paribas where he led the bank's project finance group for North America. Tim holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
