Global Co-Head for Real Estate, Global Chief Investment Officer for Value-Add Real Estate and Co-Portfolio Manager for the European value-add real estate funds series

Thomas Mueller-Borja, Managing Director, is BlackRock's Global Co-Head for Real Estate, Global Chief Investment Officer for Value-Add Real Estate and Co-Portfolio Manager for the European value-add real estate funds series. Mr. Mueller-Borja is Chairperson of the Global Value-add Real Estate Investment Committee. He is a member of the Global Real Estate Executive Committee.

 

Mr. Mueller-Borja has invested over $5.0 billion across three European value-add real estate funds.

 

Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Mueller-Borja was Head of European Real Estate Primaries and Directs at Partners Group. He also served as a member of the Partners Group Global Real Estate Investment Committee. Before that, Mr. Mueller-Borja was a Principal Banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), responsible for real estate acquisitions and debt financing. Prior to EBRD, he was an Attorney at Law at Baker & McKenzie, practicing Private Equity and Private Equity Real Estate law in Zurich and London.

 

Mr. Mueller-Borja earned a major in law at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and an MBA degree from INSEAD. He is qualified as an Attorney at Law in Switzerland and as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
