Head of International Strategic Clients Team

Roberto Speranza is a London based BlackRock Managing Director. He serves as International Head of Strategic Clients, driving business development and cross-platform client strategy for the international business. Roberto and the team deliver the breadth of the firm to our strategic clients, focussing on developing and converting cross-functional commercial opportunities. Roberto is a member of the EMEA Operating Committee, the EMEA Client Committee and Italy Executive Committee and previously served as Head of BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory Group in EMEA.

 

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2016, Roberto worked at UBS AG (London), where he was a Managing Director and the Head of the FIG EMEA Debt Capital Market and Client Solution Team. Prior to UBS, Roberto worked at Lehman Brothers and Nomura where he was responsible for the Southern European Structured and Principal Finance teams. Roberto started his career in 1996 at WestLB in London in the Securitization and Principal Finance team.

 

Roberto is an Industrial Professor of Corporate Financials at the MSc in Finance of the UCL Institute of Finance and Technology, London as well as a Visiting Professor of Corporate Finance at the LUISS University part-time MBIA & EMBA, Rome. 

 

Roberto holds an MSc degree in finance from London Business School in 1999 and a BS degree in economics, with first class honours, from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome in 1995.
