Jan-Frederik Modell

Jan-Frederik Modell, CFA, Director, is a member of the BlackRock Private Equity Partners (PEP) group within BlackRock Alternative Investors. He is responsible for business development as well as the creation and implementation of customized private equity separate account solutions and comingled private equity funds.

Prior to joining BlackRock Private Equity Partners in 2015, Mr. Modell worked at Partners Group in the Investment Solutions group where he was responsible for investor relations, corporate development and client relationship management for the firm's listed private equity fund. Previously, he worked at Partners Group in the Private Equity Product Management group focussing on private equity comingled funds and separate accounts. Mr. Modell began his career at UBS Investment Bank in the Alternative Investment Solutions group where he was working with the hedge fund derivatives structuring team.

Mr. Modell earned a BS degree in General Management from EBS Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany in 2008 and an MBA and Master in Advanced Finance degree from IE Business School, Madrid, Spain in 2014.
