Carrie King, Managing Director, is Chief Investment Officer of U.S. and Developed Markets within BlackRock’s Fundamental Equities Business.

 

Ms. King's service with the firm dates back to 1993, including her years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Ms. King was a value investor with BlackRock for most of her entire career with the firm. She served several roles including senior fund analyst, associate portfolio manager, and lead portfolio manager before becoming one of the CIOs of fundamental equities. Prior to joining MLIM, Ms. King was an industry analyst in leveraged finance for The Fuji Bank, and a sell-side equity securities analyst for Kidder, Peabody & Co. She began her career as a research analyst for John Hancock Financial Services.

 

Ms. King earned a BS degree in business administration from Boston University and an MBA degree from New York University.
