Geoffrey Shaw

Geoffrey Shaw, Director, is the portfolio manager for the BlackRock UK Long Lease Property Fund.

Mr. Shaw joined BlackRock in August 2013. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Shawwas the Assistant Fund Manager on the Lime Property Fund, Aviva Investors’ long lease portfolio, for six years. He was responsible for day to day management of the £1bn fund along with a principle focus on sourcing and closing long lease opportunities. Throughout his time he worked across a variety of asset classes including alternative sectors such as healthcare and student accommodation. Prior to Aviva Mr. Shaw worked at Cushman & Wakefield for five years, predominantly advising clients on Central London investment and development opportunities.

Mr. Shaw holdsa BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from the University of Kent and a masters degree in Property Valuation and Law from Cass Business School. He is Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds the UK Society of Investment Professionals Investment Management Certificate.
