EMEA Head of the Official Institutions Group

Andrew Mackenzie, EMEA Head, is a member of the Official Institutions Group at BlackRock, based in London. Together with the team, he is responsible for BlackRock's relationships with central banks and sovereign wealth funds globally.

 

Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Mackenzie spent over two decades at UBS Investment Bank, latterly coordinating fixed income and currency product distribution to central banks and sovereign institutions as Global Head of this team. He was also the Employee Elected Pension Trustee of the UBS Staff Pension Scheme between 2008-2013, and sat on the Investment Committee with oversight over existing and new external investment mandates. Mr. Mackenzie began his career at Phillips and Drew Stockbrokers in 1983, which was bought by UBS in 1986.

 

Mr. Mackenzie earned an MA degree in economics from the University of Edinburgh in 1983.
