Head of Family Offices, Healthcare, Endowments and Foundations and Official Institutions

Lili Forouraghi, CFA, Managing Director, is Head of BlackRock's Family Office, Healthcare, Endowments and Foundations and Official Institutions effort for the U.S., which provides investment management services, risk management and advisory solutions to these client segments. She is a member of the Executive Committee for BlackRock's Institutional Business for the Americas. Previously, she was a senior member of BlackRock's Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Financial Markets Advisory (FMA), focused on delivering the firm to financial services clients and was on the joint FIG & FMA Steering Committee.

 

Prior to her current role, Ms. Forouraghi held several leadership roles across BlackRock’s Financial Institutions, Financial Markets Advisory and Official Institutions Groups, where she worked closely with BlackRock’s institutional clients including insurance companies, central banks, multilateral agencies and other official entities, pension funds, and foundations & endowments. Ms. Forouraghi joined BlackRock in 2002 as a founding member of the firm's Wealth Management team, where her primary responsibility was to build, develop and maintain relationships with the firm's ultra-high net worth clients and family offices, wealth management advisors and private banks.

 

Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Forouraghi was a Vice President and Senior Investment Strategist for Fixed Income at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Global Multi-Manager Strategies. From 1991 to 1999, Ms. Forouraghi assumed several roles at the Treasury of the International Finance Corporation (a World Bank affiliate). Ms. Forouraghi began her career at The World Bank Treasury in 1990.

 

Ms. Forouraghi serves on the advisory boards for Win, largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing in New York City, and Women of the World Endowment which aims to promote gender equity through capital mobilization. She is also trustee for the James Martin Trust of Oxford Martin School. Ms. Forouraghi earned a BS degree in French and German literature from Georgetown University and an MBA degree in Finance & Investments/International Business from George Washington University.
