Fixed Income Strategies

US Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS)

Overview

01.

Our Agency MBS platform is focused on high quality and liquid Agency MBS. Additional sub-sectors in Securitized Assets are often permitted, though to varying degrees. Impact strategies are also available to be implemented by focusing on underlying lending programs that seek to provide a positive societal and/or environmental output.

02.

Agency MBS are a large and complex asset class, often less understood and challenging to manage. Founded as a mortgage-focused firm in 1988, BlackRock has invested heavily in the tools, processes and teams required to effectively manage the asset class.

03.

The team utilizes a robust data and infrastructure environment, including Aladdin-supported data capture, proprietary mortgage market models and desk-designed tactical tools to help support a disciplined investment process.
