Mark Everitt, CFA, Managing Director, is Head of Investment Research and Performance for Blackrock Equity Private Markets. He works with investment leaders with a mandate to elevate our investment performance taking into account the changing opportunity set and our investment edge.
Previously Mark led Investment Research and Strategy across Equity, Debt and Infrastructure Private Markets connecting public and private markets examining mega forces, liquidity, macro and investments. Mark was a senior leader at BlackRock Alternative Advisors hedge fund solutions business. He has held multiple roles including portfolio management responsibilities, approval of hedge fund platform investments, development of external manager selection and risk management processes. As a member of the co-investment committee, he invested across five co-investment vintages within illiquid and liquid fund vehicles.
For 7 years Mark was an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington teaching Computational Finance and Risk Management. As well as earning a CFA charter, Mr. Everitt earned a BSc degree, with joint honors, in Geography (with a focus on climate) and Topographic Science from the University of Wales. He passed all the qualifying examinations for an Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in the UK.
