Isabelle Mateos y Lago, Managing Director, is BlackRock's Chief Multi-Asset Strategist and member of the BlackRock Investment Institute. The team creates and communicates market and investment insights for clients and across the firm. Ms. Mateos y Largo also serves as a senior advisor to BlackRock Vice Chairman Philipp Hildebrand.
Ms. Mateos y Lago joined BlackRock in January 2015. Previously she was a senior official at the IMF, where she worked for 15 years. She was Head of the Strategy Unit, Chief of Staff to the First Deputy Head of the IMF, was responsible for G-20 liaison and a Member of the Executive Board. Ms. Mateos y Lago started her career at the French Ministry of Finance.
She is a member of Inspection Generale des Finances and is a graduate of Ecole Nationale D'Administration and Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Ms. Mateos y Lago earned a master's degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
