Head of Global Accounting and Product Services
John M. Perlowski is Head of Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) within Technology & Operations, President and Director for BlackRock's U.S. Retail Mutual Fund family and a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee.
GAAPS is responsible for Fund Accounting, Fund Board management, Provider Strategy, Portfolio Compliance, Transfer Agent, and operational oversight for BlackRock's commingled funds (public and private). In addition, the teams support Latin America Business Operations, institutional accounting, distribution operations and product lifecycle events.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2009, Mr. Perlowski was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). He was the Treasurer of U.S. Mutual Funds and Director of Offshore Funds. He served as Chief Operating Officer of the Global Product Group. This area was responsible for the overall control environment supporting the funds, fund accounting, vendor management, shareholder, and distribution services.
Mr. Perlowski is an Advisory Director of the Family Resource Network, a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals and families that are affected by developmental disabilities such as epilepsy and autism.
Mr. Perlowski is a CPA and earned a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1986.
