Alan McKenzie, CFA, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock's Client Portfolio Solutions group within BlackRock. Client Portfolio Solutions is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction and asset allocation ecosystem; and brings together BlackRock's research, investment experience and technology to meet clients' needs for whole-portfolio approaches. His primary responsibility is the design, implementation, and portfolio management of multi-asset investment solutions for Family Offices/Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.

 

Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. McKenzie was a multi-asset portfolio manager at Barclays responsible for developing and managing Global Tactical Asset Allocation portfolios for institutional investors. He joined Barclays in 2012 after spending 9 years as a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners where he was Head of Research & Portfolio Strategy for a $4 Billion hedge fund. Prior to Guggenheim, he was Head of Investment Solutions at Deutsche Bank overseeing more than more than $55 Billion in fully discretionary multimanager investment solutions. He started his career in 1992 with SEI as a Senior Consultant working with institutional investors on all aspects of the asset management process including strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio structuring and manager selection.

 

He graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
