Woo Fung Kwong, Managing Director, is the Co-Head of the Aladdin Wealth Tech business within BlackRock Solutions (BRS). Aladdin Wealth Tech solutions include Aladdin Wealth, iRetire, FutureAdvisor, Advisor Center & Team World, as well as BlackRock's stakes in partner firms like iCapital, Scalable Capital, Acorns & Envestnet. With the global wealth management industry in a period of rapid transformation, Aladdin Wealth Tech is partnering with wealth managers to enhance their value proposition to their end clients, create rigor and scale in their investment process, and grow their businesses in a differentiated way. Mr. Kwong is a member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee.
In addition to leading Aladdin Wealth Tech, Mr. Kwong is the Senior Advisor to BRS Analytics & Modeling, which is responsible for building financial models to analyze securities and portfolios. These analytics are delivered via Aladdin, a proprietary multi-asset investment and risk management system that can bring significant scale in helping clients understand the risks that they have and model the impact of actions on portfolios. The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within Analytics & Modeling is responsible for applying Aladdin's analytical capabilities in support of a wide range of strategic firm-wide initiatives across investments, risk management, clients, and business operations.
Mr. Kwong has been with BlackRock for over two decades in a variety of leadership roles. Prior to starting the Aladdin Wealth business, he led the Analytics & Modeling team since the inception of the BRS business. Mr. Kwong is involved in many firm-wide initiatives, including his significant focus on talent development, mentoring, and sponsoring the Associates Arena network globally.
Mr. Kwong joined BlackRock as an Analyst in PAG in 1994 from Harvard University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics in Economics.
