Michael McGhee is Deputy Chairman and a Founding Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a Senior Managing Director of BlackRock and a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee. Having joined GIP at its inception in 2006, Mr. McGhee leads its transport sector industry investment teams, including airports, ports and freight rail. He is based in London.
Prior to GIP, Mr. McGhee was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division and Head of Global Transportation and Logistics at Credit Suisse from 1998 to 2006. He was previously Managing Director and Head of Transportation at BZW from 1990 to 1998.
Mr. McGhee holds a B.A. in Government and Economics from the University of Manchester.
