Global Head of Aladdin
Sudhir Nair, Senior Managing Director, is the Global Head of Aladdin and a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee. He is also the co-executive sponsor of the firm’s Veterans & Allies Network.
Mr. Nair is responsible for driving the vision, strategy and execution of Aladdin, BlackRock’s technology platform. In his role, he oversees the commercial, product and engineering teams responsible for Aladdin – both as the operating system for BlackRock, as well as the Aladdin client community.
Mr. Nair began his career at BlackRock in 2000 as an Analyst supporting Aladdin’s portfolio analytics capabilities. Since that time, he has held a variety of leadership positions that have contributed to Aladdin’s growth as one of the most dynamic technology platforms in the world. In 2019, he led the firm’s acquisition and integration of eFront, extending Aladdin’s capabilities into private markets and strengthening BlackRock’s whole-portfolio value proposition for clients. Building on that strategy, in 2025 he led the acquisition of Preqin, further enhancing Aladdin’s private markets data, research and analytics capabilities and advancing the platform’s ability to deliver integrated insights across public and private markets.
Mr. Nair earned a BS degree in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College. He lives in New York City and serves on the Board of Trustees for the New York Hall of Science.
