In his dual role, Ram leads the strategic direction and execution of BlackRock’s global marketing efforts and oversees the expansion of BlackRock’s Digital Wealth businesses in partnership with clients and platforms globally.
As CMO, Ram is responsible for building and strengthening BlackRock’s global brand and leading marketing initiatives that deepen client engagement and drive commercial impact. He oversees brand strategy, commercial marketing, and digital engagement — including the firm’s creative, content, social media, and events platforms — ensuring that BlackRock communicates its value consistently across markets while remaining hyper-local and relevant in every region. Together, these functions deliver a unified brand voice and deeper connections with clients. Before joining BlackRock, Ram was at Fidelity Investments where he was Head of Wealth Management and Digital Advice and President of Fidelity Personal and Workplace Advisors (FPWA), overseeing over $600 billion in advisory assets. In this role, he led the development and growth of the wealth management business across financial advisor and digital channels, including advisory solutions, financial planning, retirement, insurance, cash management, alternatives, and digital solutions. Prior to that, he also served as President of Fidelity Brokerage Services, leading one of the largest retail brokerage businesses in the U.S. with more than 25 million customer accounts.
Prior to Fidelity, Ram held executive roles at Morgan Stanley and TD Ameritrade in wealth management, brokerage, and strategy. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
