Co-Head of Aladdin Product Engineering
Nish Ajitsaria is Co-Head of Aladdin Product Engineering and a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee. He is also the Executive Sponsor for AI for the firm.
Aladdin Product Engineering team is responsible for designing, architecting, and building Aladdin – both as the operating system for BlackRock as well as the Aladdin client community. Nish also oversees AI strategy and execution across Aladdin, providing the foundation to enable AI transformation throughout the firm.
Prior to re-joining BlackRock in 2024, Nish was Head of Engineering for Goldman Sachs Asset Management's $2T+ public markets investing franchise, responsible for quantitative research, portfolio construction, and risk and alpha platforms.
In his prior 20-year tenure at BlackRock, Nish held various leadership roles, including the Global Head of Product & Engineering for Aladdin Wealth Tech and Head of the Market Analytics Group. He began his career in 2002 as an Analyst in the Portfolio Analytics Group within BlackRock Solutions.
Nish earned a BA degree, Phi Betta Kappa, summa cum laude, in Economics and Mathematics from Franklin & Marshall College in 2002.
