Regulatory Data Templates -
EMT, EPT and DCPT

BlackRock is committed to providing transparent and comprehensive information to our distributors and investors. We are pleased to offer access to industry standard templates that allow us to share data in compliance with MiFID II, PRIIPs & COBS. The templates included are the most recent and up to date versions of the EMTEPT and DCPT.

We would also like to ask our clients about feedback they have for us and we have included information below about how you can do this. Distributors of our funds can provide feedback by completing the Distributor feedback form, which will provide BlackRock with the necessary information to conduct periodic reviews.

As part of our Consumer Duty feedback process we would also invite Distributors to complete the Distributor Feedback Template and instructions on how to do this can be found below.

European MiFID Template (EMT)

The European MiFID Template (EMT) is designed to facilitate the exchange of key product information to ensure compliance with MiFID II and subsequent regulations. It was introduced in 2018 and is updated regularly to capture changes in regulation. The EMT, and any changes to the format, is coordinated by working groups under FinDatEx.

Available EMT Versions

EMT V4.0: This version provides detailed information about the product target market, costs, and charges, helping distributors and investors make informed decisions.

EMT V4.2: Specifically tailored for UK distributors, this version includes additional data on Consumer Duty Price and Value outcomes and UK specific cost disclosures.

European PRIIPs Template (EPT)

The European PRIIPs Template (EPT) is a standardised tool used to help financial institutions comply with the Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) regulation. This regulation requires firms to provide a Key Information Document (KID) for each investment product they offer, ensuring that retail investors receive clear and comparable information about the products’ risks, costs, and potential returns.

Ways to provide feedback to us

Distributor Feedback Form

If you have distributed BlackRock funds, we are asking you to send us feedback on sales to ensure funds continue to be distributed to the intended target market. This is to enable BlackRock to meet our MiFID II obligations as a manufacturer of investment products, in particular, to assess our distribution strategy and carry out on-going oversight of our products. If you are subject to MiFID II, you may have a regulatory obligation to provide us with this information.

Distributor Feedback Form (blackrock.com)

Distributor Feedback Template

As part of BlackRock’s Consumer Duty obligations, we use the industry-standard Distributor Feedback Template (DFT) to help ensure our products deliver good consumer outcomes. The DFT allows us to gather and analyse feedback from distributors, helping us refine our offerings to consumers. BlackRock use www.ume.solutions to issue the DFT and process feedback from in-scope distributors twice a year.

If you would like to learn more about the Ume platform, please visit www.ume.solutions. If you have received a notice to submit the DFT and would like to discuss this further, our team is here to help. Please reach out to us at FDServicesEMEA@BlackRock.com for assistance and support.

Additional Information

If you would like to subscribe to receive any of these templates directly via email or to receive more information about the data in our regulatory templates, please reach out to our Client Services team at clientservices@blackrock.com. The data contained within these templates will continue to be available via fund data providers.
