Teun Draaisma, Managing Director and portfolio manager, is a member of BlackRock's Active Equity Group, based in London. He is head of Multi-Horizon Strategies, an investment activity combining alpha insights from BlackRock's Scientific and Fundamental Active Equity Groups. Previously, he has been a member of the London-based Global Equity team within the Fundamental Active Equity business, as portfolio manager and macro strategist.Mr. Draaisma joined BlackRock in 2012 and has over 2 decades of experience in macro investing. This includes his time as a portfolio manager at TT International from 2010-2012, and as a strategist at Morgan Stanley from 1997-2010. He uses a global macro approach to equity investing, combined with bottom-up analysis, and he specializes in market direction, style & thematic investing and sector & country selection.

 

Mr. Draaisma obtained a Master's degree in Econometrics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and studied at the ESSEC business school in France, before joining the OECD in 1994.
