Johnathan Seeg

Johnathan Seeg, Managing Director, is a member of the BlackRock Private Equity Partners (PEP) group within BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI). Mr. Seeg is a principal and investment manager responsible for developing and executing fund strategy as well as overseeing the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of private equity fund commitments, direct co-investments and secondary transactions.

 

Mr. Seeg's service with the firm dates back to 1999, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. From 2007 until 2014, Mr. Seeg was based in PEP's London offices where he was responsible for private equity investments in EMEA as well as business development as head of the London office and a member of the BAI's EMEA Executive Committee. At MLIM, Mr. Seeg was a principal on the investment team of Private Equity Partners and also managed the team's investor relations activities in the Americas. Prior to joining MLIM in 2003, Mr. Seeg was a vice president at Merrill Lynch where he held several roles in corporate strategy and was a member of the investment team for the strategic venture capital fund of the Global Wealth Management division. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1999, Mr. Seeg was an associate at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in global equities research.

 

Mr. Seeg earned a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.
