Karen McQuiston

CFA, Managing Director, Client Portfolio Manager for Global Tactical Asset Allocation

Karen McQuiston, CFA, Managing Director, is a Client Portfolio Manager on the Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA) team within BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions (MASS) team. She previously headed the Strategic Partnerships team within BlackRock's Client Portfolio Solutions group.

 

Ms. McQuiston joined BlackRock from PGIM, the Investment Management Business of Prudential, where she was Managing Director and Head of Institutional Advisory & Solutions. Prior to this, she was Managing Director and Head of Strategic Advisory at Jennison Associates, a PGIM business, where she advised large institutional clients on overall portfolio structure, while leading the firm's institutional client-focused research initiatives. Before joining Jennison, Ms. McQuiston was Vice President in the Pensions, Endowments and Foundations Group at Goldman Sachs & Co., where she was responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with major US corporate and public pension plans.

 

Previously, Ms. McQuiston headed the Strategic Investment Advisory Group at JP Morgan Investment Management, engaging with institutional clients on asset allocation, asset/liability management, and portfolio construction. She began her career in the Quantitative Research group at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Ms. McQuiston earned a BS in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University and an MA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a CFA charterholder.
