Peter Toal

Peter Toal is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Fixed Income Syndicate at Barclays with over 30 years of experience on Wall Street. Peter currently oversees both the High Yield Bond and Leveraged Loan Syndicate teams globally. Peter has served as the Chairperson for Barclays US Investment Bank Distribution Committee and sits on the Firm’s Leveraged Finance Screening Committee and Global Investment Bank Distribution Committee. Peter also Co-Chairs the Firm’s Reach Disability Network in the US and founded the Mental Health Awareness Group in the US.

Prior to joining Barclays, Peter was a Managing Director with Lehman Brothers and served as Head of US High Yield Syndicate and was a member of Lehman Brothers’ High Yield Commitment Committee. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Peter worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. where he worked in Leveraged Finance, High Yield Capital Markets and Private Placements. Peter began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc.

Peter graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a BA degree in Economics.
