Jack Reerink, Managing Director, is the Head of Publications and Business Operations of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). The institute leverages BlackRock’s expertise and produces proprietary research to provide insights on the global economy, markets, geopolitics and long-term asset allocation – all to help clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets.

 

Mr. Reerink, who is responsible for BII’s publications, digital strategy and business operations, joined BlackRock in 2011 from Reuters News where he held the position of managing editor for North America. He was Reuters global company news editor from 2007 to 2010, and oversaw coverage of company news and stock markets in the Asia Pacific region from 2002 to 2007 from Singapore. He reported on Wall Street's investment banks in the late 1990s. Before joining Reuters, Mr. Reerink was a senior editor at derivatives publication Futures Magazine from 1993 to 1996 in Chicago.

 

Mr. Reerink earned a MS degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Chicago. He received a law degree from the University of Amsterdam and was a second lieutenant in the Royal Netherlands Army. He speaks several languages and has visited 130 countries.
