Frank Porcelli, Managing Director, is the Chairman of BlackRock's US Wealth Advisory business and the Head of its Digital Wealth Solutions group, a new team focused on delivering BlackRock’s innovative technology capabilities to home offices and financial advisors. As a member of the global steering committee driving the firm’s retail technology strategy, Mr. Porcelli oversees BlackRock’s digital business development efforts and the field-based distribution teams focused on driving technology adoption. Mr. Porcelli is a member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee, and also represents BlackRock as a member of iCapital’s Board of Directors.
Previously, Mr. Porcelli was BlackRock’s Head of US Wealth Advisory, where served as the architect for the firm's retail business strategy over the last ten years. Under his leadership, the business grew to nearly a trillion dollars in broadly diversified assets, across channels and product types.
Mr. Porcelli's service with the firm dates back to 2005, including his time with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he served as Chief Operating Officer for MLIM Americas. Prior to joining MLIM, Mr. Porcelli was Managing Director of Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations at Putnam Investments. He previously was Director of Corporate Asset Management services with Goldman Sachs. From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Porcelli held various senior leadership roles with Smith Barney, including Director of Retirement Services, Head of Unit Investment Trusts, Chief Operating Officer of Smith Barney Mutual Funds and Manager of Strategic Planning.
Mr. Porcelli earned a BA degree from Pace University in 1984.
