At BlackRock, we place our client's interest first and our clients' satisfaction is very important to us. If you think that we have not met your expectations with any aspect of our service(s) or product(s) you have received and you wish to complain, you may raise a complaint by contacting BlackRock. BlackRock takes all its client and investor complaints very seriously. To that end, we have implemented a robust complaints handling process that ensures your complaint is handled promptly, diligently and impartially. This process is free of charge.

If you are contacting us via email or post, we request you to attach to your correspondence all information or documents relevant to the matter as this will facilitate in our internal review and investigation process and we will be able resolve your concern effectively and in a timely manner.

We will endeavor to clarify your request promptly and commit to the following actions upon receipt of a complaint.

  • We will ensure that an employee of appropriate seniority, and who is not directly involved in the matter which is the subject of the complaint commences an investigation. You can expect to receive a written acknowledgement to your initial complaint no later than 5 business days which will outline BlackRock's Complaint handling process. 

  • We will keep you informed of the progress of the complaint.

  • We aim to provide you with a final response within 8 weeks unless otherwise stipulated under local regulations. If there are any unplanned delays and we are unable to resolve your concern within the required time period after receipt, you will be notified. We will send you a reply that explains why we are still not in a position to make a final response, also indicating by when we expect to be able to provide a final response.
    If, after receiving a final response, you are not satisfied, you may also be eligible to refer the matter to the appropriate local financial ombudsman or the appropriate local alternate dispute resolution mechanism.
