Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation

We’re partnering with Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK), a global venture philanthropy firm supporting early stage, high-impact social enterprises tackling some of society’s most complex problems.

Learn more about Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation.

An early pioneer of venture philanthropy, DRK finds, funds, and supports exceptional leaders with innovative and highly impactful ideas that have the most potential to scale. Each grantee receives $300,000 of unrestricted capital over three years and, most importantly rigorous, ongoing support from DRK to help build capacity in the organization and scale their impact.

Since its founding in 2002, DRK has invested in 100 social entrepreneurs including Kiva, Room to Read, One Acre Fund and Living Goods. DRK’s current portfolio includes organizations working both domestically and internationally, helping to provide critical access to healthcare, education, food security, social justice, water and sanitation, transparency and accountability, and shelter.

With the backing of BlackRock and other donors, in the next five years DRK is aiming to double the number of next generation entrepreneurs it supports.

Draper Richards Kaplan is best in class in finding, funding and strengthening early stage nonprofits with potential for systemic change. In addition to their remarkable track record, what attracted us to DRK was the opportunity to connect our employees as volunteers and advisors to DRK alumni and portfolio organizations.
