Managing Director, Senior Investor, Long Term Private Capital

Erik Levy, Managing Director is a senior member of the Long Term Private Capital Investment Team. Erik brings significant private equity investing, board directorship and business experience.

 

Erik was most recently Managing Partner at Acasta Enterprises, a Canadian investment firm that was founded as a Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation.

 

Previously, Erik spent 12 years at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board(CPPIB) where he was a Senior Principal and founding member of the Direct Private Equity business. During this time period, Erik helped drive the transformational growth of CPPIB as a direct private equity investor and oversaw the technology, media, and healthcare investing activities for CPPIB's direct private equity business. During his tenure, CPPIB's direct private equity portfolio grew from under $100 million to over $15 billion.

 

Erik began his career as a management consultant with Bain & Company in Toronto and Paris, focused on private equity due diligence, and before that, was an actuarial consultant at Mercer in Toronto and Montreal.

 

Erik received an MBA from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics from Concordia University.
