We offer Learning@BlackRock, an online tool that gives employees access to a wide range of learning and development resources, including business overviews, online and instructor-led training courses and other tools and resources.
BlackRock also offers tuition assistance to encourage employees to take advantage of ongoing education opportunities in their respective fields, in order to create opportunities for personal and professional growth while strengthening the capabilities of the firm.

Compensation: Pay for performance
BlackRock’s pay for performance philosophy rewards employees’ contributions to BlackRock, provides opportunities for employees to share in BlackRock’s growth and success and aligns the incentives and risk-awareness of employees with those of the firm by connecting individual, business and company results to employee compensation.
For most employees, total compensation includes base salary in addition to a discretionary annual bonus, which is based on the employee’s performance against objectives and contributions to their department and the firm as well as BlackRock’s operating income and business or functional level performance.
For our most senior leaders, BlackRock is committed to an executive compensation program that is consistent with responsible financial and risk management. Details on compensation policies and practices for our executives are outlined in BlackRock’s Proxy Statement.
